Study Visit at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris, April 25-29, 2022
In perioada 25-29 Aprilie 2022, 3 membri ai echipei de implementare al proiectului Jean Monnet EUPROIN au realizat o vizită de studiu la Universitatea Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris.
In cadrul acestei vizite de studiu, echipa proiectului, formată din Dna Rodica CRUDU, Dna Olesea PLOTNIC si Dl Dorin CIMIL, a avut câteva întâlniri cu următorii profesori și cercetători:
– Philippe Dupichot, președintele Asociației Henri Capitant – Franța, profesor la Ecole de droit de la Sorbonne;
– Anne-Marie LEROYER, Director al Institutului de Cercetare Juridică, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne;
– Cyril Grimaldi, Secretar General al Asociației Henri Capitant – Franța, profesor la Université Paris II, Panthéon Assas;
– Claire Sejean, Secretar General adjunct al Asociației Henri Capitant – Franța, profesor la Université Paris XII.
During these meetings, Ms. Rodica CRUDU, EUPROIN Project Coordinator, presented the objectives of the Jean Monnet Support to Associations in European Integration and Intellectual Property Protection Studies / „EUPROIN” project, spoke about the activities carried out, and presented the main deliverables of the project.
Ms. Plotnic Olesea, member of the EUPROIN team and Secretary General of the Association Henri Capitant of Legal Culture of Moldova / AHCCJ, proposed to discuss some aspects of future collaboration, such as:
1. elaboration and presentation of a book on the Moldovan Law system;
2. joint scientific activities for the academic year 2022-2023;
3. affiliation with Henri Capitant France magazine with the possibility of publishing scientific articles in Moldova.
4. other matters of common interest.
Mr Cimil Dorin expressed confidence that the development of relations between the EUPROIN project team and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne will bring lasting and promising results to both parties.
The team members also had the opportunity to study the latest and most relevant sources in the Library of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, which inspired the team members to take over the good practice of the French model of study and research.
This study visit was an essential element both in the professional development of the team members and in the improvement of their intercultural skills. The study visit provided team members with the opportunity to experience a new international environment, giving researchers added value to their personal and academic experience. In addition, these study visits allow the sustainability of the network by generating the premises for long-term projects.

Round Table dedicated to World Intellectual Property Day, April 20, 2022
On April 20, 2022, a round table was organized with the motto „World Intellectual Property Day -2022”, being marked, in an absolutely special way, the date that is revered worldwide: innovative, energetic and creative minds.
The event was attended by practitioners in the field, representatives of the business environment, academia, students, who had the opportunity to assess the role and importance of intellectual property in the development of a business, as well as practical legal issues regarding the protection of intellectual property.

This event was organized by the Public Association of Legal Culture Henri Capitant Moldova (AHCCJ) within the Erasmus + project „Jean Monnet Support for Associations in European Integration Studies and Intellectual Property Protection” / EUPROIN, with the support of external partners: Alliance Française de Moldova, Ambassade de France en République de Moldavie, State Agency for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova and USM Faculty of Law.

Workshop „Development of innovative business and protection of intellectual property in the digital age”, November 18th, 2021
On November 18, 2021, was organized the workshop „Development of innovative business and protection of intellectual property in the digital age”
This event was organized online as a webinar by the Association of Legal Culture Henri Capitant Moldova in partnership with State Agency on Intellectual Property and the French Alliance of Moldova, Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development, within the ”Jean Monnet Support to Associations in European Integration and Intellectual Property Protection Studies” / EUPROIN implemented with the support of the Erasmus + program of the European Union.
The workshop was dedicated to the business environment and decision makers in the field of intellectual property and aims to strengthen, understand and raise awareness of the role of intellectual property development (IP) in the EU and the Republic of Moldova; the role of IP protection in promoting innovative businesses, the role of IP in the digital age, the challenges of IP protection in the digital age, the analysis of the achievements and challenges of intellectual property development in the EU and the Republic of Moldova; increasing the visibility of research conducted in the field of issues related to IP protection, etc.
The event was moderated by Ms. Rodica CRUDU, PhD, associate professor, coordinator of the EUPROIN project and was opened with a greeting message from:

SPÎNU Isae, Head of SME Digitization Department, Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector (ODIMM), partner institution in workshops dedicated to the business environment
CHAVANNE Alexandre , the representative of the French Alliance and the French Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, who is also a co-financier of this project.
During the event, the representatives of the business environment and of the decision makers, had the chance to listen and debate topics such as:
The role of intellectual property in the development and capitalization of innovations (BADÎR Iurie, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova)
- Protection of Intellectual Property in e-commerce business (MOGOL Natalia, Dr., Deputy General Manager, State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI). Key expert in the EUPROIN project implementation team);
- Challenges of intellectual property protection in the digital age (CRUDU Rodica, Dr., associate professor, EUPROIN project coordinator)
- Peculiarities of resolving disputes regarding the defense of subjective copyright in the digital age (CIMIL Dorin, Dr., President of the Association of Legal Culture Henri Capitant Moldova)
- Consumer protection in the online environment (PLOTNIC Olesea, Dr. hab., Secretary General of the Henri Capitant Legal Culture Association, Moldova, key expert in the EUPROIN project)
More than 100 participants were active and asked various questions to the speakers, and at the end stressed the importance of awareness of the role of intellectual property and integration of intellectual property objects in business development strategies in the context of European integration and implementation of the Association Agreement to European Union.

Jean Monnet Conference “Moldova towards EU`s IPR development”
On March 31, 2022, the International Conference „Protection of Intellectual Property in the Digital Era” took place. The event took place in hybrid format and was organized by the Henri Capitant Legal Culture Association from Moldova, within the „Jean Monnet Support to Associations in European Integration and Intellectual Property Protection Studies” / EUPROIN, nr. ref. 611344-EPP-1-2019-1-MD-EPPJMO-SUPPA, implemented with the support of the Erasmus + program of the European Union, in cooperation with the State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI).
The main objective of the Conference was to stimulate and strengthen the understanding and awareness of researchers in the field of development of intellectual property protection (IP); to inform and raise awareness among representatives of non-governmental organizations and civil servants about the importance of IPR development in economic integration and growth; to analyze the achievements and problems of IPR development in the EU and Moldova, etc.
The Conference was attended by representatives of public authorities, higher education institutions, research and development organizations and the business environment. During the conference, researchers from countries such as France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova presented their results.
The Plenary Session of the Conference was physically organized at the AGEPI headquarter, being opened by Ms. Rodica Crudu, coordinator of the Jean Monnet EUPROIN project, Mr. Eugeniu RUSU, General Director of the State Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI) – partner in the implementation of the EUPROIN project and Mr. Dorin CIMIL, Dr., President of AO Henri Capitant Republic of Moldova.

During the plenary session the Book INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW was presented. The book does represent a deliverable developed within the EUPROIN project.
In the afternoon, discussions and debates were then organized in three panels:
– Panel I: Protection of intellectual property in the digital age
– Panel II: Competition and intellectual property: interference and challenges in the digital age
– Panel III: European integration and protection of intellectual property.
The theme of the conference and the topics covered during the event were of great interest, with over 90 participants.
